This is the brew that made me a Bier man, and not a beer hater. I've had this magical elixir once, as a gift from the braumeister's daughter, who was an exchange student at the time. My vocabulary for beer reviewing is lacking, because I've found so few I actually like. This one is rich and hearty, dark, cloudy with yeast (unless you don't stir it up, but why wouldn't you?) Thick enough in the mouth you could almost chew it. It was served room temperature, and had a complex flavor, with at least 5 different notes at once - an effect I had never experienced before this sample. Despite all that complexity, the one thing it didn't exhibit - the thing that makes all the difference to me - is bitterness. It has no bitterness at all, or so little that it's easily masked by the rest. I've considered moving to Arnschwang for this beer alone.
Only reason I didn't give it 5's across is that I suppose it's possible for there to be a better beer, but good luck finding it.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
