The Silver Bluff American Pale Ale is brewed to be a highly versatile beer that is refreshing and full of flavor. This APA is made predominantly with two-row malt, but generous amounts of Victory and Crystal malts are also used. The Victory malt deepens the flavor and the Crystal malt gives this beer its rich amber color.
Hops are added at several different points when making this beer. A heavy dose at the beginning of the boil gives this beer its pleasant bitterness, but subsequent hop additions—including a one-week dry hop—give this beer its pleasant aroma and flavors reminiscent of tropical fruit, pine, citrus fruit, and spice. The end result is an amber malt profile that keeps the bitterness perfectly balanced.
This beer is refreshing enough to lighten a heavy meal, but it can still stand up to bolder flavors. It goes well with a wide variety of foods, but it pairs especially well with robust, salty, or fried foods.
