I took bus 12 from the ZOB in Bamberg and got off at the Debring bus stop. From there it was a short, 1 block walk (in the direction that the bus was traveling), with the brewery on the right (same side of the street as the bus stop). Alternately, I followed the wonderful aroma of the brewery to find it.
The entrance is from the street, and then left into the main room. There were about 10 tables, with the Stammtisch on the right. Straight back there was a small outdoor garden, and another room to the right.
The main room has a small stove, tan tile floor, and a wood ceiling. The walls are white plaster. There are table cloths on the tables and curtains on the windows.
The beer menu during my visit:
On-Tap:
Pilsner Feinherb
Dunkles Vollbier
Bottles:
Micherla naturtrüb
Weissbier
Seasonal on the menu but not available during my visit:
Weihnachtsbock (Christmas bock)
I tried the Dunkles Vollbier, Micherla, Pilsner, and Weissbier. They were good, and I would score them 4 out of 5 overall.
As for food, they had a typical Franconian Brotzeit menu for lunch. I also noted many carp (Karpfen) dishes on the menu, but the menu indicated that they are only available in months with "R". The food I had was good. The service was good, but laid back.
Overall, a nice place to visit by short bus ride from Bamberg.
