Clear bright reddish chestnut color with a modest and quick dissipating tan head.
The aroma is pumpernickel bread, hazelnuts, brown sugar.
The taste is much the same with the addition of a slight raisin or fig note. The finish is fairly dry but with some lingering pumpernickel notes, very mild bitterness.
The body is medium, good level of carbonation, smooth and very drinkable.
Altogether, this is a very nice take on Bock beer style, great with hearty or spicy food and especially nice for cooler spring or fall weather.

16oz tallboy can courtesy of Russpowell. First I've had from this brewery, which I had not heard of before.
Poured into a dimpled mug, this was a dark brown color, taking on a more rubyish hue when held directly up to light. Modest sized beige colored head that didn't last particularly long, but also never quite disappeared.
Subtle, roasty and nutty nose to this. As expected, it seems a malty beer. Can't get any hop flavor in the nose at all.
Taste is pretty similar to what the nose led me to expect. It's a pretty malt forward beer, with nutty and roasted malts flavors. Where it differs from the nose is in the level of sweetness. There is a sweet, brown sugary note that doesn't quite come through in the nose, along with a slight fruitiness not unlike in an English ale, although I sincerely doubt an English ale yeast was used here, as the finish is more that of a typical clean finishing lager yeast, just as one would expect for the style.
Medium bodied, with a clean finishing, almost dry mouth feel.
This is a nice buck, similar to an Oktoberfest, which tends to be in short supply just now, so I'm very much enjoying it. I'm not sure this is something I'd want to drink in the absolute height of hot summer weather, but right now, with temperatures around 80, it's a nice beer to drink after lunch and a walk around downtown. Thanks, Russ!

Pours a chill hazed brown/chestnut with 2 fingers of tan head. Zero head retention & lacing
S: Brown bread, figs, brown sugar
T: Follows the nose, some trace of brown sugar & woody hops, plus dryness up front. Woody hops, dryness & a touch of brown sugar & toffee as this beer warms through, Finishes with a little dryness, brown sugar & woody hops
MF: Medium body, slight carbonation
A solid Bock, needed more body for sure
