Pours a deep rustic copper with hints of orange. First pour into the glass is clear, with the final ounces of the pour turning the translucency murky. Head is two fingers of off-white foam. Aroma is smoke, clove, and grassy and spicy hops. Bready and earthy malts add some additional substance. Smoke is potent with spicy hops cutting through second. Flavor profile is smoke, clove, banana bread, bready malts, and spicy & grassy hops. Smoke is a little more intermixed here than the nose. Mouth feel is medium in thickness. Texture is semi-creamy. Overall, balances out pretty well with some good smoke notes.
Reviewed from notes. Served in a 15.5oz Spiegelau tulip from a 16oz can.

Beer is part of an LIF winning from @russpowell Thankyou! Im pouring a cold 16 oz can into my snifter. the beer pours a relatively clear amber color with dense eggshell white head of about 1 cm. This foam fades to one large surface island and a thin edge layer. Very scattered lattice on swirls.
Aroma is some smokiness, but not overpowering, a bit of dark bread and some pears or maybe grape scent. the dark bread is toasted note. Not much, if any hop note.
First sip reveals a light to medium body with pretty smooth texture and very fine, fairly gentle carbonation.
Flavor is actually sort of sweet up front, again pears and light fruit with some caramel and toasted wheat bread. A bit of smoke kicks in and carries to finish, which also dries out quite abit on the palate. The smoke is never overpowering or to the point of firepit ash.
Seems a pretty approachable rauchbier in my opinion and has some decent complexity going on as well. Glad to have tried this one.

Pours a chill hazed amber/orange with one finger of cream colored head. Beer drops bright, average-ish head retention & lacing
S: Some smokeyness, a little toastyness
T: Follows the nose, dryness with a touch of woody hops & pears up front. More dryness & smokey notes, plus toastyness once this beer warms up. Finishes toasty with pronounced but not crazy smoke & a kiss of caramel & pears
MF: Medium body, restrained carbonation, fairly good balance, becomes a touch prickly once warm
A good stab at the style, the smoke is present, but not over powering, nice drinkability Not sure it's Bamberg worthy, but it is pretty good
