Served in 16oz Willi Becher. Poured a lightly cloudy (not the usual crystal clear of the style) pale straw color with an inch-and-a-half of fluffy white head that had good retention and light lacing.
The aroma had soft, earthy grains, gently floral hops, and a light touch of slightly spicy yeast.
The flavor profile was very similar, with the addition of a bit of sweetness.
The body was notably fuller than is typical for the style, very smooth, and had a semi-sweet finish.
Drinkability was very good, this is a beer you could easily knock back several of during a session.
Overall, perhaps a bit atypical for the style, but still a very nice brew. certainly worth a shot if you see it.
