Before MTV sucked, there was liquid television. Flaked oats and malted wheat paired with generous amounts of Azacca and Idaho Gem. Pillowy pineapple kiwi.

Another selection from the Texas Mexico trip in early June 2023. We're at the point where we're drinking hoppy beers at Hold Out. Best parking in downtownish Austin.
So the appearance on this is nothing to be proud of. Yes, the style is about the ugliest (hazy pale ale) style of beer out there, but even then, there is this rust colored haze trub existentialism going on here. It does have a good 1/2" off white head and ample retention. Such a saving grace. The aroma hits a little bit of that Azacca pineapple bitterness alongside Idaho 7.
The taste is a unique hodgepodge of flavors, orange, pineapple, kiwi, melon. The Idaho 7 pushes the flaked wheat and oat paradigm to feel more like a traditionally bittered American pale ale, party at ground zero if you will. Pink Vapor Stew, but its rust. Its a kind of weird beer by traditional pale ale metrics. Hits that back end mint/pine feeling to up the ante of weirdness. Would have guessed there was Citra hops in this as well, but here we are.

Pours a cloudy, opaque golden amber color with a finger width foamy head. Head retention is decent. Lacing is good. Nice, juicy citrus aroma with some mild piney backing and some mint leaves. Very juicy, smooth citrus. A little bit of piney spruce at the end. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation.

Poured from can into tulip, good 2+ finger off white head, good retention and great lacing. Dark orange in the glass, opaque, nothing floating. Big citrus on the nose, pretty much all I am getting. Taste is sweet malt on the front, citrus from the nose carries thru, slight acidic (almost juice like). This is pretty much a citrus bomb, not much complexity, but almost like drinking a glass of orange juice with a little alcohol in it. The finish is pretty smooth with a slight citrus pith bitterness on the end. Every now and then there is a slight dankness that comes thru, in a good way. Liking everything I have had from this brewery so far.

My fourth beer from this brewery reviewed. This place is not disappointing at all.
Poured from a can into a tulip glass. Murky brownish yellow color with nice foamy head and good lacing. Pleasant and distinct citrus smell and taste. Pleasantly sweet, slightly bitter, and smooth feel. Definitely a beer to get again.
