This was the first beer I had at Hold Out after running through the lineup at ABGB. It was hot, why not. Another testament to light beer in Texas.
Pours standard light yellow AAL with good clarity and 1/2" white head. Aroma is true to style, very minimal, don't go looking for a pungent German craft yeast presence. This is pretty neutral.
The taste is nice, ample golden waves of grain in a ultra light body mouth feel going on. Hops are there but not some proprietary ipa kind of hopping, just seemed like a smidge of normal ass noble hops, appropriate for style and quantity. I'm the man who loves you. Its airy and flavorful. Super crushable. The lightest "sweet" sensation you can have, on a 1-10 scale of sweetness, its like, a 1. As it should be.
Upon reflection, I sat out on the patio thinking, damn if Arizona and Texas don't make some real good light lagers to beat the heat with. I like real cheap beer and real bad jokes, but I got good taste in women (and light beers).
