This beer is a throwback to the first generation of craft IPAs that helped start the modern craft beer movement over a decade ago. Loaded with plenty of piney Cascade hops that no throwback IPA would be complete without, this beer also features the citrusy Sasquatch hop, a descendant of a wild hop found in Pemberton BC, and Canada's only homegrown hop variety. In a nod to modern tastes, this beer doesn't go quite as extreme on the bitterness scale as many IPAs did a decade ago, but still packs a punch

Pours a near clear orange amber colour with foamy bubbly just slightly off white head.
Aroma initially muted with earthy hops, herbal and grassy with notes of pine, orange zest.
Taste follows with earthy hops, a touch of pine, burnt orange and a decent herbal flavour - subdued bitterness but the leafy earthiness pushes back much of the caramel malt sweetness.
Solid medium body with decent carbonation - leaves with the lingering earthy hop bite.

A northwest IPA.
Appearance - Pours a light copper with four fingers of frothy whiite head.
Smell - piney, leafy, earthy, citrus, floral, and herbal hops, pine resin, grapefruit and citrus peel, caramel, bready malts, and earthy yeast.
Taste - light piney, leafy, earthy, citrus, floral, and herbal hops upfront. The pine resin, grapefruit and citrus peel follow suit. The caramel, bready malts, and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the hops lingering.
Overall - An easy drinking IPA that delivers a nice punch from the hops. I just wish the hops were a bit more pronounced in this one but nonetheless an easy drinking brew.
