From the half liter bottle ()best before 6 Jan 22). it pours a clear light amber color with a modest, soon diminishing white head that leaves a small ring. The nose gets a fresh grassy and grainy scent. The taste is mild and slightly malty. A good session beer.

2.20 euros/0.5 L bottle at Bierteck in Bamberg, DE.
BB 24 July (Hopefully this year). Stored refrigerated and drank within minutes after opening in a hotel glass.
Aroma – faint, grainy.
Head small (two cm, semi-aggressive pour), white, low density, average retention, diminishing to an irregular one to two mm ring and thin partial layer.
Lacing – some open curtains, mostly open space, little curtain
Body – medium yellow, clear.
Flavor – less bitter than the average lager, slightly grainy. No alcohol, no diacetyl.
Palate light, watery, soft carbonation.
An average German lager, nothing that particularly stands out.
Aroma 3, Appearance 3.5, Flavor 3, Palate 3, Overall 3.

Half litre bottle, poured a small to medium thick head, golden colour, clear, lots of bubbles. Sweet malty aroma, notes of cherry. Sweet malty taste was nicely balanced out by the sour dough like finish. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, normal mouthfull. Overall not overly complex but a decent, refreshing beer typical of what you would expect from a Vollbier in the Bamberg region.

Had this beer from gravity keg at Stilbruch in Bamberg, Germany.
This beer poured a clear, amber color with creamy, white foam that settled to a thin (1-2 mm) layer which clung to the glass. The smell was a nice, cereal malty aroma. The taste was dry malty with a good shot of noble hops of moderate bitterness. The flavor was light on the tongue. The mouthfeel was dry and malty with medium body and moderate carbonation. The hops lingered pleasantly on the tongue. This was very drinkable and quite enjoyable from tap.

A fairly vigorous pour produced a sizzling, foamy, off-white head that fades quickly. Transparent goldenrod beer holds a few small lazily rising bubbles. Dry, bready malt aroma with a bit of hop tea. A mildly sweet malt flavor mixes with herbal hops and a bit of astringency/bitterness towards the finish. Low carbonation produces a mouthfeel approaching watery, but the hops keep if from being overly watery. A simple lager with a nice mix of malt and hops.
