Ironshield Brewing

German/Eurostyle beers. They do usually have a good IPA on tap. This is a great place for beer drinkers who like straight up drinkable beers and are not interested in the newest IPA or stout creations. They have a limited selection of year around beers (Kolsch, Vienna Lager, Helles, Irish Stout, Irish Red Ale, Scotch Ale) which are all high quality, well made beers. The founder & brewmaster is one of the long time brewery icons of the Atlanta area. Seasonals are very good: Hefe, Maibock, Marzen, and a REALLY good Belgian Double. Good sized tap room. They need to add Dunkel to the year around and Doppelbock and Schwarzbier to their seasonals. Big outdoor beer garden. Parking can be a challenge depending on the time of day, you may have to park off site but there are a few lots within easy walking distance. For fans of well made drinking beers this is a good stop.
