Unfortunately, this looks like another hazy that took the shortcut of reducing or eliminating the barley content in the wort. It's understood that wheat and/or oats are the agents used to soften the hops in most hazies, including New England IPAs. But the good ones keep enough barley within, so the body and original sublime taste of an IPA isn't compromised. With a stark white foamy head which recedes unevenly, this looks like a shortcut hazy. The color of the beer is nice, a rich amber that's more opaque than translucent. The sticky white foam on top remains a concern. All of this is noticed after the contents of a pint can were emptied into a clear glass Imperial pint mug. The aroma is thinly hoppy, more or less nondescript. There's no surprise that this is no tastefest. Almost no malt presence meets a shallowly hopped brew. It's actually annoying that the full contents of the can will have to be consumed: Waste not, want not. Other than a very mildly dry hop finish and a little opaqueness, this is as bad a beer posing as a NEIPA as you'll find. Pity for the taste buds. Maybe the alcohol will make its drinker feel a little better, because it won't be the taste.
