During the First World War, Canada experienced a severe labour shortage to maintain her vast farmlands. An initiative was created that would see over 22,000 teenage men and women volunteer to leave their homes and work the farms to maintain the food supply for the country. This initiative was named "Soldiers of the Soil".
Our S.O.S. beer is dedicated to the thousands of young men and women who learned the agricultural trade and helped feed a nation during one of the worst periods in human history.
Juicy, refreshing and fruit forward with a soft finish. Brewed with 100% Alberta grain and 100% Australian Cascade hops.

Pours a pale moderately hazy yellow with two fingers of fine bubbly white head.
Grainy cereal malt on the nose with notes of pine, citrus, and pineapple - slightly grassy and as warmed somewhat more floral.
Cereal malt/cracckery on palate with flavours of citrus - grapefruit, orange, pineapple - and piney hops - restrained bitterness that also became more evident as warmed.
Solid medium mouthfeel - easy drinking with nice carbonation, verging dry to slightly bitter astringent finish.

Appearance - Pours a hazy peach with three fingers of frothy white head.
Smell - citrus, tropical, and leafy hops, citrus and grapefruit peel, peach, pineapple, papaya, guava, bready malts, and earthy yeast.
Taste - mild citrus, tropical, and leafy hops upfront. The citrus and grapefruit peel follow suit alongside the peach, pineapple, papaya, and guava come through next. The bready malts and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the hops and fruits lingering.
Overall - A sessionable pale ale from Tailgunner. This one delivers on the flavour and drinkability factors. Don't hesitate to purchase this if you come across it.
