Dating back to the late 1800's, grain elevators were visible for miles across the prairies and often indicated a surrounding farming community that was thriving. These hand-built towers stood for nearly a century before being replaced by new farming innovation and technology.

Although only a weathered handful remain operational today, you can still find many prairie sentinels standing watch over western Canada as monoliths of history and the economic lifeblood of the prairies.

Inspired by the balanced golden lagers of Southern Germany, our Munich Helles lager proudly uses 100% Bohemian ingredients, natural carbonation, and a proper cold conditioning phase.

Poured from a growler purchased at Collective here in Cowtown. Sampled with a can as well to compare.

Appearance - Pours a clear straw with four fingers of frothy white head.

Smell - noble, saaz, floral, leafy, and earthy hops, lemon, grainy and biscuity malts, and earthy yeast.

Taste - noble, saaz, floral, leafy, and earthy hops upfront. The lemon alongside the grainy and biscuity malts come through next. The earthy yeast rounds out the brew.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes crisp with the hops and malts lingering.

Overall - A well crafted lager from Tailgunner. You can't go wrong with these guys and gals as they keep releasing quality brews that are flavourful and sessionable.

Pours a near clear golden with two fingers of puffy white head.
Aroma is grainy cereal malt, bready, a touch floral with just a subtle, though not detracting, hint of sulphur.
Taste is clean, bready, grainy sweet cereal malt, some floral sweetness, and a gentle bitterness that is quite content to sit in the background.
Medium bodied with decent carbonation - simple and so easy drinking - a perfect backyard summer beer.
