Poured from a glass growler into a stem glass.
One-finger head when poured with some lacing on the glass.
Very dark brown color, opaque.
Nice roasty, earthy aroma coming from glass, maybe even some black tea aroma was detectable (as stated in their description).
Flavor is subtle but you can pick up fruitiness and roastiness with some bitterness at the end, which makes for a nice finish.
Mouthfeel is mild, subtle, but still is very interesting.
Overall, you have to be patient, keep sipping on the beer, and the roasty, earthy, fruity, bitter flavor notes and slight hoppiness start to come through and get more interesting as you make your way to the bottom of the glass.
Well done again! It is so refreshing to experience beers that I have never really had or not wanted to try the imported version for fear of getting something that is past fresh or skunked.
You need to get to this brewery and drink this and all of their in-house offerings!

on draft at the brewpub - half liter Willi Becher style glass
very dark brown, fairly opaque - cream colored head. aroma is a touch roasty, a little fruity, some black tea. Overall pretty tasty - enough malt and mild roast in the taste to the be flavorful, but very easy drinking. thin to medium bodied, lower carbonation
