This one is for your heart health, like a blanket for your soul, made with malts sourced from the island formerly known as the Queen's land with some additional dark candied sugars from across the Channel. As you descend the stairs still-burning embers remind you of last night's glories, overflowing with whiskey and apple brandy barreled dreams (message!) and an abundance of crumbly cheesecake crusts. It's bread and dessert season, with cinnamon raisin swirls throughout your flan and chocolate covered cherries studded in your yeasted loaf, so let's get all fat and sassy.

I am trying a 10oz pour of this beer off the tapper at the brewery. It poured an opaque dark with dark tan head that did not leave much lace. The scent had roast, chocolate, and booze notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright semi sweet datk chocolate malt base with roast, vanilla, and bourbon presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Poured from tap into pint glass in February 2022. I also bought a growler to take home and drink.
Appearance: Very dark black with a two finger high tan/brown head. Head thins out to a thin covering, and leaves only a little lacing on the glass, as is typical of imperial stouts.
Smell: Strong aroma of chocolate, roasted coffee, and caramel. There is some additional sweetness like malts. Not much hop aroma. A little earthy aroma.
Taste: There is an interesting combination of flavors. There is a strong coffee flavors along with chocolate. Also, some smoky roasted malt flavors, and a little caramel flavor. There is some bitterness from hops. There is a strong alcohol presence that matches 10.6% published on their website.
Mouth-feel: Thick, but with an extremely smooth and creamy body.
This is a good Imperial Stout, and it has a variety of flavors that adds a nice complexity to the beer. It is very smooth and enjoyable to drink. I would definitely buy this again.
