With lots of British pale malts and darker grains we mashed this beer at lower temperatures to promote a dry finish and added a touch of dark Belgain candi syrup which not only boosted the ABV, but also contributed to a subtle earthiness to match the modest noble hops.

on draft at the brewpub, in .4L glass
Black in color, with tan colored head. Dark chocolate and molasses aroma, also a little dark fruit in the taste. Starts a little sweet but more balanced finish. Very Nice depth of flavor overall.
