On tap at Delaware Supply in Albany, NY.

This one pours a golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like toasted grain, some honey, and spicy hops.

This feels pretty much spot on for the style for me. It’s got a little bit of doughy and slightly honey-like sweetness, with a very crisp and mineral-ish bitterness. It’s peppery and grassy in a great way.

This is light bodied, crisp, clean and super drinkable.

I love seeing all sorts of interesting lagers that I’d otherwise see nowhere else at Delaware Supply.

Amber honey colored, beautiful, and with a beautiful white foam.
Malty smell, light caramel, some biscuit. Flora, camomile, white flowers.
The taste starts malty, grainy, again floral notes, grassy finish, relatively notter.
Good.

From the bottle, it pours a hazy light amber with a nice small head. Some hay and bread in the nose. In the mouth, I noted the hops immediately, followed by the maltiness. Yum!

Pours a vibrant, clouded golden color with a froth, medium sized white head.

Smells of hay, wet grass, white bread dough, young herbs and a strawy sweet whiff.

Has an effervescent, refreshing carbonation, among a light body, showcasing a mineralic quality during the finish.

Has a velvet beginning with subtle, bready malts, hay and a note of young garden herbs, developing a slightly mineralic, lively carbonation, which turns maltier, sweeter during mid palate with straw and an aqueous softness after the initial carbonation effervescence. Turns surprisingly dry during the finish with bready malts and a note of dry leaves, overcoming the malts easily.

This is a winner, subtle and versatile, very entertaining as for its prominent hop dryness, tied together by a world class balance.

Thanks to blutt59 for sharing this bottle. We can always count on Bob to share the rare German beers.

The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the wheat with some grass from the hops mixed in. The flavor is heavy on the wheat with some lemon notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

.5L, 5.1% ABV. Can't determine best before as it's notched in two places in the month category. Seems fresh though.

Light amber with lots of sediment floating around. Head is compact but has some staying power.

The aroma is woody, spicy and hoppy, along with an earthy yeast character.

Very dry and bitter. Simple grain flavors, clean. Leafy, tea-like hops, some lemony character underneath, but overall a bit lacking in hop flavor. Finish has a big, lingering bitterness. The mouthfeel is smooth and soft, with low carbonation.

Drinkable and refreshing, but the relentless, tea-like hop bitterness makes this beer unbalanced.

Sampled on-tap at Cafe Abseits in Bamberg, Germany. 5.5% ABV.

This kellerbier poured a gold-amber color with tan foam that settled. The smell was mildly malty and hoppy. The taste was mildly malty with good hop balance and a light fruitiness. The mouthfeel was smooth and dry overall with medium body and moderate carbonation. It was fairly clean overall. This was a smooth, clean, kellerbier.

Nicely thick and creamy head, on a very pale transparent golden color body. I'm almost scared to bring this beer to my lips, as the head seems to be willing to last forever. Will I interrupt eternity? The smell is grainy, leaving me an impression of wet oatmeal that you get huge with the water absorbed, a little bit like infused tea leaves. Dry hoppy smell too.
The perfection of the head hid a very common beer... I should just have looked at it forever, and get myself something else in the fridge...
Grainy with a thick, 'raw' and unbalanced hoppiness. Almost mouth puckering. There is some fruitiness here, but it is way too light imho. A feeling of sourness too.
I'm gonna pour this one down the drain, and the head is still perfect...
