Schoko Bananen Stout

Pours a pitch-black coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of slightly roasted, bready malt, some milk chocolate and banana, as well as just a hint of licorice. Taste follows the nose, with a good balance of roasted, bready malt, a strong milk chocolate presence and lighter banana and just a hint of licorice and herbal hops. Finishes rather sweet, with a very light bitterness and some chocolate and banana lingering in the aftertaste. Fullmouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

While I'm not a huge fan of the style, this is a decent Pastry Stout that is not cloyingly sweet, with some light, roasted, bitter notes providing a certain balance to the rich chocolate and lighter banana presence here.
