Capt. JJ's Pineapple Wit

This is a refreshing light wheat ale (Norwegian Wheat) with bright carbonation, aromas of pineapple and a hint of grapefruit in the flavor. Named after Capt. John Laurence Jensen who emigrated from Denmark in 1888 and set up his pineapple plantation, which eventually became the town of Jensen just to our north. Capt. JJ put South Florida Agriculture on the map by shipping over 1 million boxes of pineapples every year and earning the name ”Pineapple Capital of the World”. This beer would have been perfect to enjoy after a long day’s work in the pineapple fields of Eden (the name of the original homestead in which they were planted).
