On-tap 1/14/2022 at the brewery’s taproom in Fall River, MA, served in a tulip glass.
A: The beer is a deep dark brown color, with a large foamy beige head that fades very slowly and leaves a very thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains coffee, chocolate, whiskey, roasted malts, some dark fruit and a touch of hops.
T: The taste starts out mildly sweet with flavors of chocolate, dark fruit, coffee and whiskey. Then a hearty roasted malt character breadiness quickly follows. The hops presence is very mild but complementary and brings a very good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and very smooth, medium-to-heavy body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Very tasty, goes down very easily, slightly filling, good kick, very good representation of style. This is a very good big stout to drink for a long time.
