Lager fermented in oak…interesting approach (am thinking of farmhouse or bier de garde).

L: beautifully rich amber color, alight haziness. Only a ring of carbonation.

S: plenty of sweet malts, a hint of oak and honey, as their website suggests. Didn’t pick up lemon zest.

T: rich taste with easy esters and a bit of zesty-spiciness. Complex, but ultimately easy to drink and smooth.

F: perfectly carbonated and as above, a bit spicy but not overly dominant. Really way to drink.

O: really enjoyed this offering (my first from this brewery). Was admittedly skeptical at first; oak (cold) fermentation? It worked really well, making this a great beer for the shift from summer to fall.
