Having this one on draught.
Dark black/amber pour, weak head/retention. Light body, somewhat thin with a watery mouthfeel.
Roasted malt, sugary coffee, sweet black liquorish and sweet chocolate/vanilla liqueur flavors all come to mind. Also hints of sweet peppery raspberry/grape-jelly & graham cracker notes.
All together, very cloying, and such a level of booziness that it is a predominant flavor. At 13.5%, it’s a little over the top. Bitterness is well masked and suppressed by sweetness on this one.
