My wife and I visited Oak St. Brewery while in New Orleans a little while back. It's a clean and welcoming industrial space, and the brewhouse shares space with the taproom (a detail I always love). They've got some games and a couple of dart boards, plus plenty of seating and a small bar.
They had 10 beers on tap when I visited, plus a couple seltzers. Styles ranged from blond and hefeweizen to English IPA, cherry sour, and dark mild. The hefeweizen and English IPA were quite good; the IPA was odd, kind of fruity in a fruity pebbles way, and the porter was merely okay. The cherry saltwater gose was interesting; I liked it because I like cherries, but it's maybe not for everyone. They also have a slushy machine with the cherry sour and a mocha imperial stout; maybe if I come back in like August or something I'll check those out.
Service at the bar is friendly enough. There's no food here, but they've got menus for the Mexican place next door.
