Served in a fluted pokal at the Spirit Water taproom.
Our inaugural drink during our inaugural visit to Spirit Water. Gotta go with the root beers, right? This was pours a clear midnight mahogany topped by a wisp of dirty suds that don't bother hanging around very long. The nose is a blast of root beer barrel candy, along with some molasses and vanilla for good measure. The taste brings in more of the same, the root beer character really popping here. The body is a languid medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a slickly fluid feel. Overall, a very tasty hard root beer, setting the beer fairly high for the rest of the visit.
