Served in a fluted pokal at the Spirit Water taproom.
Next up is a French toast-inspired beer. I wonder what the name means? Anyway, this stuff pours a clear sunset mahogany topped by a minimal amount of wispy foam. The nose comprises, well, a delicious, luscious French toast breakfast (which, I suppose, you could have at any time of day, but my preference is for the morning, kids), including maple syrup, brown sugar, wheat toast, and even a hint of some fresh butter. The taste brings in more of the same, the sweeter elements tackling the tongue up front, the butter sort of drizzling down into the middle, before the sweetness returns, this time with a date of grainy maltiness. The body is a stolid medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a slickly fluid feel. Overall, it's what it says on the tin and then some, one of the more accurate representations of the French toast flavor profile I've yet experienced.
