Served in a flared pokal at the Spirit Water taproom.
Finishing things up with the big mamma-jamma root beer, which I took in favor of my buddy, as he was driving. The boy's resistance was admirable. Anyway, this stuff pours a clear midnight sienna topped by a couple of dirty tan bubbles here or there. The nose comprises rich root beer, a bit of extra vanilla, a touch of booze (I know, I know, "only a touch!?"), and a kiss of cocoa powder. The taste brings in more of the same, the sweet root beer doing its best to keep the booze at bay, though its success is debatable. The body is a solid medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a slickly fluid, almost sticky feel. Overall, a damn tasty alcoholic root beer, one whose limit (I believe it's 1 per customer per visit) is understandable, as its immense drinkability and overt sweetness and root beer-ity can let the ABV really sneak up on you like an especially brutal ninja. Good times.
