Pours a somewhat hazy gold with a soapy white head.
Aroma is like a dank orange Julius with guava, and a hint of pine.
Flavor is oranges, and guava, and an almost garlicky thing, but not in the most unpleasant way. I believe that to be the savory note that I get from a lot of really good NEIPAs, but without a certain something backing it. Definitely falling flat on some flavors. This tastes like it has a lot of potential to be a much better beer.
Mouthfeel chewy and on the upper end of medium bodied. Carbonation is moderate. Alcohol warmth is noticeable at an appropriate level for the ABV.
Overall, I don't want to say that I'm disapointed in this beer, because it is full of potential. The brewery's website says they use American Ale Yeast on the beer, and I wonder if what they are using is too clean fermenting. From my understanding, NEIPA yeast strains are typically based on British ale yeasts. I'm excited to try out more of this brewery's offerings.
