Poured into a Tree House glass a very nice dark brown/black color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one-finger plus tan head, which leaves some pretty nice small islands, and some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, kinda hoppy, with a pretty nice mexican chocolate/toffee, cinnamon, vanilla, slight coconut, pretty nice roastyness, licorice. The taste is pretty nice malty, kinda hoppy, with a pretty nice mexican chocolate/toffee, cinnamon, vanilla, slight coconut, pretty nice roastyness, licorice. Medium body with a pretty nice dry/bitter finish. Overall this is a pretty tasty brew. Surprised me.
