Poured into a Trillium glass a very nice dark brown/black color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus tan head, which leaves a pretty nice small size island, and some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, hoppy, with a pretty nice dark chocolate/toffee, pretty nice coconut, slight cocoa nibs, vanilla, nice roastyness, licorice. The taste is very nice malty, hoppy, with a pretty nice dark chocolate/toffee, very nice coconut note, some cocoa nibs, vanilla, pretty nice roastyness, licorice. Medium body, ABV is hidden pretty nicely, nice little sweetness, with a pretty nice dry/bitter finish. Overall this is a pretty tasty beer. I would not really call this an Impy.
