Poured into a chalice a very nice dark brown color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one-finger plus tan head, which also leaves some pretty nice small islands, and some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, kinda hoppy, with a pretty nice chocolate/toffee, coffee, raspberry, vanilla, pretty nice roastyness, licorice, slight tart. The taste is pretty nice malty, kinda hoppy, with a pretty nice chocolate/toffee, raspberry, coffee, vanilla, pretty nice roastyness, licorice, nice little tartness. Medium body with a pretty nice dry/bitter finish. Overall this is a very tasty beer.
