Poured into a Trillium glass a very nice dark brown/black color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy two-finger light tan head, which leaves a very nice medium size island, and some very nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is pretty nice, malty, hoppy, with some pretty nice chocolate/toffee notes, some vanilla, cinnamon, pecan, roasty, licorice. The taste is very nice, malty, hoppy, chocolate/toffee, cinnamon, pecan, vanilla, toasty, licorice. Medium body, ABV is hidden very well, with a pretty nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, a very tasty beer.
