Pours a hazy golden color with nice lacing and head. Smell is fruity and tropical . Taste has notes of citrus ,pineapple ,melon and papaya . Mouth feel is sweet more than dry , has some bitterness, its juicy hoppy soft and bitter .

Without abandoning their west coast traditions but also embracing new hop varieties and techniques, Crowns & Hops crank out a bitter beer with a touch of juice.

Foggy orange and with a soft golden glow, Inglewood Juice floats a creamy white froth while teasing the senses with an appetizing blend of candied citrus, light herb and complementary tropical fruits. Sweet in its initial taste, the session leads with light pastry, honey and faint caramel.

With the rising hops commanding the middle palate, the flavors start to shift from malt sweetness and into brighter citrus flavors that are all about the orange. Tangerine, blood orange, Valencia and mandarin all come to mind as the candied hop character seems wrapped in a juicy cocoon of cantaloup, mango, papaya and red grapefruit. Smoothly transitioning toward a bitter leading late palate, the peppery resins of pine, grassy botanicals and fruit peels provide and decidedly bitter finish.

Medium bodied, juicy and semi-dry, the beer splits the difference between a more refreshing and drier west coast IPA and that of the fruitier, hazier IPA. A linger of orange and orange peels extend into a medium-long aftertaste of citronella.

Looks great with a nice head. Nose hinted at a superb IPA with floral notes and piney odors, however the taste and followthrough did not hold up to the nose. Good beer though.
