Ponytail Aspirations

Pours a very large and foamy head, off-white to tan, sizzles down fairly quickly, hardly any lacing. Light coppery color, cloudy liquid as in from floating particulate, waves of bubbles visible below the surface. The nose does produce the wheat notes but even more so graham cracker, root beer, molasses, can't say it is particularly hoppy, not much citrus nor dankness, if you served it to me blindly and said it was an amber ale I'd believe you. Full-bodied, even with all the visual carbonation it feels flat on the palate. Here too veers towards sweet territory, very biscuity and malty. Tangerine to blood orange citrus make an appearance, juicy without any sourness. Not familiar with the brewery so didn't have much expectations going in, so can't say they were met or not. That said, good amount of all around flavor but wanting as a DIPA.
