What an interesting brew!
Pours a moderate golden bronze, with a solid one finger head. Aroma is molasses. Really there is no getting around that. Taste is molasses as well with a strong profile of doppelbock at the end. This is quite unique. One would expect it to be too overpowering but it is not. The molasses adds a strong black strap flavor, old world style, with a bit of a kick. Nicely done.
