From the bottle, it pours lighter than I would have expected, a golden color with a small whitish head. Of course, as Schweinfurts Volksfest is in May/June, it is probably lighter just as the Maibocks are lighter than the Fall Bocks. Malt is evident in the nose, and also in the mouth. Heavier in body, to me, than most summer biers, it is also in the Maerzen strength range, so that was not unexpected. Try it! Enjoyable!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
