Had Signal Lost at The Bitter Alibi, Chattanooga, on draft into pint tumbler.
Pours cloudy amber-gold, with 1/2- to 1-finger, creamy near-white head, which dissipates to a persistent ring and film, but leaves rings of Belgian lace etched down the glass. Aromas of mild citrus and modest bitter herbals off pour, then lime and a little earthy melon, and some berries, a little tropical fruit and then stone fruit, and a bit of caramel malt as warms. On tasting, begins smooth and creamy, with a little citrus bite, then some berries, over mild caramel malt, before a lemony, herbal, malty, continuing melon, moderately bitter finish.
A traditional IPA malt bill delivers a classic appearance, and provides smooth, creamy, caramel support for the variably fruity results of a modern hop profile.
