Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a large, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical/citrus hops, with notes of passion fruit, pineapple, grapefruit and just a hint of pine. Taste is a great balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, resinous, slightly herbal hops, with strong tropical and lighter citrus notes of passion fruit, mango, pineapple and grapefruit, as well as some pine coming through as well. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some passion fruit, pineapple and pine lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
A very nice New England IPA that's quite heavy on the sweet and slightly musty tropical fruits, but balances that sweetness nicely with some resinous pine and a good bitterness in the finish, while there are some very light floral and herbal accents to this as well. While it may be just a tad too sweet for my personal taste overall, those bitter and resinous notes really make up for that quite nicely, leaving you with a rather enjoyable example of the style with a good body and mouthfeel as well.
