Collaboration with Sudden Death Brewing Co.
Smoothie Sour with passion fruit, mango, pink guava.
For the full fruit experience, definitely roll the can a bit before opening because we really used an extreme amount of fruit. No lactose, no artificial aromas.

Pours an opaque, orange coloration with a large, frothy head. Smells of bright and vibrant tropical aromas of passion fruit and lighter mango and guava. Taste follows the nose, being dominated by a quite distinct passion fruit character, as well as lighter notes of mango and guava. Finishes sweet and slightly tart, with some passion fruit, mango and guava lingering in the aftertaste. Thick mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This is certainly the best, although admittedly also the only, Smoothie Sour I've had out of Germany yet, where this particular substyle hasn't really arrived yet. While it doesn't quite reach the high bar set by Russia's Selfmade brewery when it comes to this style, it still ticks all the required boxes with quite a fresh, vibrant fruitiness, good balance of sweet and tart notes and thick mouthfeel. It's a little too one-dimensional for my personal taste, but certainly makes for a tasty tropical sour, although feeling slightly overcarbonated for the style.

3 months old. Can to snifter.
Look: Pours a full brownish yellow. Sounds a bit weird, but gives a great look in combination with the fine-pored white foam. No fruit flesh or sediment floating around.
Smell: Sweet mango and passion fruit. Unfortunately overpowered by strong alcoholic notes.
Taste: Mango and passion fruit with a hoppy base. A fruity, somehow caremelly sweetness with sour notes and a bitter finish. Not as alcoholic as the smell, but some boozy notes are there.
Feel: Drinks like a medium-thick yellow smoothie. Great mouthfeel.
Overall: Nicely balanced smoothie-like sour. Not as spectacular as their hoppy beers, but still very solid. Interesting fruit combination that I haven't tasted before. Looking forward to their next sour/fruity brew.
