In the gaming world, "Godmode" represents the ultimate advantage, granting players superhuman abilities to effortlessly overcome challenges within a game. It's a cheat mode that making victory almost inevitable. COVID-19 was precisely in such a mode - who else could have managed to ground 750 Lufthansa airplanes, prevent the sacred game of football from taking place, and even force churches to remain closed?

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.8%. Opaque pale yellow colour, large white head. Aroma of peaches, pineapple, papaya and guava. The flavour is not too sweet, but has notes of said fruits, also citrus, with distinct juniper wood and resin in the moderately bitter finish.

Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a medium, fluffy, lasting head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical, citrus and berry hops, with notes of passion fruit, orange and white grape, as well as a certain dankness coming through as well. Taste is an excellent balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, dank and slightly spicy and herbal hops, with tropical, berry and citrus notes of passion fruit, mango, white grape, gooseberry, grapefruit and lime peel, ass well as some herbal weed and just a hint of chili. Finishes with a light/mewdium bitterness and some passion fruit, white grape, grapefruit, weed and chili. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
Noone does NEIPAs quite like Atelier Vrai in Germany right now, not even old favorites like Frau Gruber or Fuerst Wiacek, who really seem to have fallen off since opening their own breweries. It's not just by German standards though, I would probably say that Atelier Vrai is the only brewery in Germany right now that does not need to fear international comparison of this style either, with the mouthfeel of their NEIPAs being particulary outstanding. The hops are just so juicy, vibrant and well-defined here, with the Strata standing out particularly with bright passion fruit, dank weed and spicy chili. I've never quite gotten that certain chili note from Strata as strongly as here and it's quite fascinating.
