Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a fine, one finger white head with great retention an slippery solid lacing. Aroma of lightly caramel malt, citrus and piney hops, orange, lemon and pine; lightly spicy. Flavor is biscuit malt, citrus and piney hops, orange, lemon, mild grapefruit, pine. Lightly resinous pine finish. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess. Glad to see some Logan ales showing up in Seattle; I liked the big ales I tried from them a few years ago. This has an old fashioned biscuity malt base (a surprise after what smelled like caramel malt without any biscuit). With fresh tasting herbal hops that are classic Centennial; lots of citrus and pine. I'm always happy to have a throwback English leaning malt IPA and this one hit the spot. The Centennial is more complex than I expected from a single hop. Nicely done. My first fresh hop of the year and already on my tradition of whatever fresh hop I'm drinking is my favorite one so far.
