Taster at brewery. Dark brown pour with ring of beige head. Aroma is peanut butter with roasty malts. Peanut butter follows through to the taste, roasty malts, hint of chocolate. Smooth.

There doesn't seem to be a date on the bottom of the can or anywhere on the pink label.
Appearance: The body is black and the head is a short, khaki, slightly frothy and slightly bubbly, medium retention cap. There is no lacing.
Aroma: From the get-go it smells like peanut butter. There is a ton of peanut butter aroma that runs the gamut of "creamy peanuts" candy from Halloween to the hard candy pillows. It smells artificial but enticing.
Taste: Up front there is burnt caramel and heavily toasted peanuts. There is a bit of sugary caramel and coffee in the background between sips, but mostly it is burnt caramel and toasted peanuts. It is good but less sweet and more bitter than the aroma would indicate.
Mouthfeel: Bitterness is moderate. The body is medium. The finish is a bit textured but within what is expected.
Overall: The aroma really wins it for this beer. The flavor is good, and even better than most, but what really drags this beer over the finish line is the aroma; it is worth it to buy this beer just to smell how good it is. While the base porter is left somewhere in the dust, if you enjoy flavored beers, this one will entice you. I could see myself drinking it again.

My favorite dessert beer, absolutely delicious and local. Pours dark brown, almost oily black with a dark tan head. Incredible peanut butter aroma. Initially tastes of peanut butter then fades to roasted barley and chocolate. Light to medium carbonation, thick and creamy. If you’re ever around Richmond, definitely give this a try.

On tap at Strawberry Street Cafe in Richmond.
Pours jet black with fine, light brown head.
Smell is sweet and slightly roasty with notes of chocolate, coffee, peanut butter and Oreos.
Taste is well balanced between smooth chocolate, roasty coffee, peanut butter and chocolate biscuits. Slight bitterness, but very easy to drink.
Mouthfeel is medium and smooth, well carbonated.
Overall, a very nice porter, smooth and drinkable.

T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of peanut butter dust along with notes of chocolate.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I really liked the aromas and flavors of peanut butter in this beer.

L: Poured from a 32 oz. growler to a pint glass. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick consistency. There was a small amount of creamy, tan-colored head that quickly dissipated. Average lacing.
S: A very enticing aroma of peanut butter, chocolate, roasted malt, and an oaty quality.
T: Tasted of a small amount of chocolate, a bit of roasted malt (mostly in the finish), a ton of peanut butter, the aforementioned oaty quality, and light hops. An extremely focused flavor that delivers on its promises. The peanut butter isn't overstated, so it works well with the other ingredients. Quite tasty.
F: A decent amount of carbonation with a smooth, clean finish. Medium-bodied.
O: An exceptionally enjoyable, well made stout. Some beers advertising a peanut butter flavor don't deliver, but this one does.
