L- Like a glass of dark Coke, Pours with 2mm pale tan head. 3.5/5
S- Mild smoke and toast notes. 3.75/5
T- Taste follows the Smell^. Toasty notes and smoke dominate. 3.75/5
F- Pretty easy going on the palate. If the taste works for you you might enjoy a few on a session (it’s not heavy/OTT). 3.75/5
O- One for fans of deeper black beers. Nothing out of place to concern me here. Would happily drink again, more likely during winter months than summer. 3.75/5
Unusual bottle, no barcode, no indication what the bottle volume is!? It’s either 500ml or a pint (563ml) in a slightly stumpy solid/wide-shouldered bottle. The BBE: is an adhesive lable on the back lable ‘BB: 01062021’' – Batch No. 442’.
Unusual lable, in good part it’s a fascimile of Pink Floyd’s ‘Darkside’ record lable complete with track-listing etc. The band 'of course' grew up and originally formed in the Cherryhinton suburb of Cambridge.
Bought from Bacchanalia Mill Road Cambridge.
