Faklandia Brewpub

I had no clue this place existed. RPG gaming parlor meets cozy brewpub, not bad actually. Seemed like a second-use place built in the 90’s, but with it's own charm.

Wood clad everything, booths in the window, a few tables, an angled bar. Eclectic ceramic bottle collection and mugs on the shelves, cool. Flatscreen untappd beer menu, 11 house drafts of various styles.

The west coast APA was the most impressive, but quality was lacking on the amber and imperial stouts. Flavorful but thin and watery. Definitely an experimental slant here, like a szechuan blood orange dark saison and blackcurrant raspberry milkshake IPA that was literally black in color.

Bar staff was great, they chatted at length when it wasn’t busy. Pretzel was huge and pretty good.

Decent enough to warrant a stop, patio has a view of the lake, so it has that going for it.
