“Landbier" is a German term translating to "country beer," and is often used to describe beers that would represent the local beer culture and ingredients. Ours is brewed by mixing pure Lake Michigan water with a multigrain blend of Indiana Pilsner, Spelt, and Triticale malts that were single decocted to enhance the malt expression. Gently hopped with Grungeist and Saphir hops as an homage to the origins of our brewing inspiration and naturally carbonated. This unfiltered lager has a pleasant breadiness coupled with hop derived flavors of fruit preserves and an organic honey-type of florality.

Had on tap. Full cream colored head with a pale yellow murky body, mild lacing here and there. Aromas of flowers, grains especially spelt, lemon zest, and tangerine. Taste is much the same, get a brief hint of tropical tones with the much more strong lemon and tangerine, but make no mistake the spelt, triticale, and the pale yeast are the stars, grainy overall on the finish with floral hops. Feel is pale and grainy yet so smooth and light, dry and very clean considering, full bodied

I had this on draft 8/19/24 @ the Hopleaf.
Mostly opaque bright orange appearance.
Big, bright white head; strong, frothy lacing remained.
Fresh flowers (nice lavender), faint melon & fainter lemon.
Soft, creamy mouthfeel.
Fresh flowers & mild melon flavors up front; faint lemon on the finish.
Flavorful but easy to drink; I could drink a few liters of this.
