This Czech style lager features a once defunct Moravian barley that was specially floor malted for only a select number of breweries. This beer balanced caramel, toffee, and graham cracker flavors with peppery spice from Saaz hops.

Look - Dark reddish brown with a nice initial off white head and rimming
Smell - caramel graham cracker malt with a slight pepper
Taste - caramel graham cracker and a tad pepper like the smell and pretty earthy, not sweet
Feel - fairly light with a slight crisp carb, slightly dry
Overall - pretty good malty czech amber.

I had this from a gravity keg on 2/20/25.

Mostly opaque brown/orange appearance.

Huge dark tan head; strong, frothy lacing remained.

Peanut butter, caramel & faint fresh earth notes in the nose.

Creamy medium mouthfeel.

Cream, peanut butter & mild fresh earth flavors.

A bit sweet, but it's tasty.

My standard caveat: I do this the way I do on Untappd

Poured into a footed pilsner glass. Deep ruby colored. Off white head.

I felt like I got some esters in the aroma. Not off putting, but different from what I was expecting.

This is from the brewer's Facebook post:
Polotmavý 14° is a Czech half-dark lager. It is a perfect marriage of Světlé Piwo (Czech pale lager) and Tmavé Piwo (Czech Dark lager) combining inviting Pilsner malt characteristics with tasteful caramel, toffee, dark fruits rounded out by and herbal and spice Saaz hop character.

I didn't get that. I got a mild roast character. To me it was like a love child from a schwarzbier and a pilsner. Definitely got the Saaz hop character. All that being said, it was a wonderful beer.
