Inspired by the Mexican tradition of Noche Buena, this dark version of our Mexican lager presents notes of toast, caramel, and subtle corn from the corn grits cereal mash. Lighter than the bock styles that are typically consumed on Christmas Eve, it makes this beer ultra approachable and justifies having more than one.

Cola "black" with brownish-red edges, likely clear, with a puffy but airy khaki head.
Though dark, it's crisp and refreshing, as if Czech dark meets a slightly sweeter style, perhaps like blue corn or white grape, though still with a moderately balancing grassy, semi-drying finish.
Every sip's crispness is more impressive than the last. A quenching toastiness is lightly nutty, hinting at woody but also rooty, all quite mildly so.

16 ounce can into a pilsner glass. Canned 12/9/24, had 3/28/25.
Pours a clear darker golden color, with a three inch plus head of spongy foam and light foamy lacing. Active carbonation. Aromas of malt, some yeast, some caramel and bread. Smells herbal and earthy. Flavors of malt, caramel, light yeast, light bread, some hop bitterness, especially on the finish. Tastes herbal. Smooth, somewhat crisp, a very good lighter body, well carbonated.
Another solid effort from these guys, and this is in the top tier of my favorites from them- which was unexpected. The hops and the caramel notes stand out. Very enjoyable.

Pours a crystal clear copper color with a foamy light tan head that dissipates quickly with very minimal lacing. Looks great in the glass.
The nose features toasty bread, some caramel, and a nice bit of corn, which is precisely where the taste lands, with the toasty bread and caramel more pronounced. Truly delicious.
The mouthfeel is clean and very crisp, on point for this exceptionally well executed Vienna Lager.
