Pours an effervescent cola/mahogany color with a sliver of fast-falling tan head. Some head retention & lacing
S: Some roasty notes, a little chocolate, nose could be better
T: Brown bread, a little roastyness, some dryness, slight smokeyness up font & a little dark fruit. Roastyness asserts itself more along with a touch of Chicory as this beer warms up. Finishes roasty with Baker's chocolate & dryness
MF: Medium body, fairly firm carbonation
Fairly drinkable, very respectable take on the style
