Slightly cloudy pale amber color, big American hop aroma and flavor, good malt flavors, good malty sweet / bitter hop balance, smooth on the palate. A good example of the American IPA style
Called simply "Buckeye" at the brewery, this beer was named as a tribute to the Ohio State University Buckeyes in Columbus, Ohio. The brewery says they use Columbus hops for this reason. My family went to the brewery for dinner during a recent trip to Ohio, and we were pleased to find the place was within walking distance from our hotel. We enjoyed this beer (as well as the food) so much that we brought a growler back to the hotel with us, and even went back for a refill later that night.
