Trailhead pours a clean, darker, amber color with no head. The aroma has mild notes, like autumn-like spices and cereal. The flavor is a little lighter, with a mild spice, harvest flavors, and a sweet, sweet cereal finish. Okay, it feels a tad flat. It's not fancy, unique, or pushing any limits; it's just a good amber ale.

Tap pour at Red Cow - 50th and France. Served chilled in a nonic glass.
Clear, deep gold colored body. Thin white head, and later asking cap and ring. Leaves behind thick lacing webs.
Aroma of deeply toasted malts and earthy hops.
Taste is toasted bread, with some earthy/herbal hops, and a touch of spice. Mellow malt aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel. Bathes the mouth. Good carbonation.
Malty amber ale with an earthy, spicy touch.
